The new Xiaomi Mi 10 5G is another top smartphone in the very popular lineup of Xiaomi. The phone is equipped with the latest chipset and DDR5 memory which is said to be up to 50% faster than the memory used in the Mi 9. It also has 5G connectivity so with this model you are ready for the (near) future! It’s price is a bit higher than its predecessor, but it’s still a bargain if you look at the specs.

Design and display
In terms of design there isn’t a lot new to talk about. The phone looks a lot like the Xiaomi Mi 9 but does have a slightly bigger display. Also the bezels and rear of the phone look the same with some minor details differing from the last. This isn’t bad though, as the phone looks pretty good. Colour choices are green, grey and gold.
The Xiaomi Mi 10 5G has a 6.67” inch AMOLED Gorilla Glass screen with a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels. Instead of the waterdrop design the company chose for a punch hole design for the front camera on this phone. The screen has a refresh rate of 90MHz which should give you a much smoother overall UI experience as well as gaming experience.
Xiaomi Mi 10 5G performance and battery life
As the Xiaomi Mi 10 5G comes with the newest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC the performance of this phone is extremely good. The new chipset is blazingly fast and should be much more power efficient than the last one. Depending on your choice you will get either 8GB or 12GB of RAM memory which is more than most standard use laptops nowadays. 8GB should be more than enough though so we doubt opting for the 12GB is really worth the extra bucks.
The battery life of the Xiaomi Mi 10 5G should be pretty good as well, as the phone is fitted with a pretty big 4,780mAh battery which is a lot more than last year’s edition. This should be more than enough for a phone with these specs and the MIUI software is known for it’s energy efficiency.
With 5 camera’s there’s probably a camera for every situation you might encounter with this phone. It comes with a main 108MP f/1.7 aperture camera sensor and is really a top of the line sensor. Pictures show with the main camera are great with lots of details and great overall balance between colours and contrast. Next up you will get a 13MP f/2.4 aperture ultrawide camera if you want to get a bit more in the picture. On top of that there are two 2MP camera’s. One macro and one depth sensing. On the front there’s a 20MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture and a wide angle lens.
The whole setup of this phone makes it an ideal companion for all those memories you want to save digitally for later. The main pictures are almost of professional quality and the front camera takes pictures with so much detail it might even scare you a bit.
Conclusion: Xiaomi Mi 10 couldn’t have been much better
Xiaomi did it once again. With the Xiaomi Mi 10 5G they have successfully brought a jaw dropping phone to the market with top of the line specs. The price is a bit on the high side, which is mainly due to the 5G connectivity which still makes phones much more expensive at this point. But even though the price for this particular model is a bit high, it’s probably worth every penny.
