Design and display

With big dimensions of 6.47 x 2.95 x 0.35 inch and a weight of 195 g, we can see that the Realme C3 is a big phone and it’s kind of thick like its cousin, the Realme 6i. About the design, there’s not much to say: the Realme C3 comes with rounded edges, a plastic back and frame and the set of cameras at one side in the back, just like the usual Realme designs.

The display of the Oppo Realme C3 is a 6.5inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 82.7% screen-to-body ratio, 720 x 1560 pixels of resolution and is protected by corning gorilla glass 3. This allows you to have a clear and neat display but with HD+ and not FullHD+. Don’t expect to have the perfect display of higher quality screens.

Performance and Battery life

It is a simple device (it does not have a fingerprint reader, for example), although it is the one chosen to release two new features: the Mediatek helio G70 Processor, an Octa-core 12nm process and Android 10, Realme UI 1.0. With this the try to optimize the gaming experience in this smartphone. It comes with 3GB or 4GB RAM memory (depending of the model) and 32GB or 64GB of ROM storage.

With 5000mAh battery capacity, the realme C3 comes to the battle side by side with the realme 6i, bringing long lasting battery life for more than two days, even if you use all the features and play games. It also comes with reversed charging, so you could use the device to charge another phone through the USB port.

For the back set of cameras we got 12MP main camera f/1.8 aperture 5P lens PDAF + 2MP portrait camera + 2MP macro camera 4cm shooting distance and a 5MP front camera f/2.4 aperture. Not the best camera of all times but you could get decent pictures at a more natural level. Selfies look good only at daylight but will lack some detail in lower light situations.

Conclusion:  A good choice.

As I said earlier: it is a simple device. It comes with a few good features like the battery life and the improvements in performance but in general it’s not meant for the general public to say ‘oh, wow’. With a decent camera and a simple design, besides the other features, for this price you’re getting a good deal.
