The Oppo Find X2 Pro is one of the top Android phones of 2020. With a standout quad-camera setup, a 6.7-inch display, a 120Hz screen refresh rate, and 5G capability, this device is easy to recommend especially if you’re willing to pay serious cash (about $1200 bucks) for a phone.

Design and display
The new design for the Oppo Find X2 Pro is betting for two styles: there’s a vegan leather model that comes in a white and orange combination and there’s also a ceramic model in black. The leather model is stunning and the colors are beautiful. There’s also a ceramic model and is not bad, but it absolutely loves fingerprint smears; so, you will need to clean it more often.
In terms of the screen, we have a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel in the 19.8:9 format that has a resolution of 3168×1440 pixels and also offers a high frame rate of 120 Hz; therefore, in the outdoors, this smartphone leaves a very good impression giving us a perfectly recognizable display content and an ensured good readability even under the direct sunlight.
Performance and battery life
With Qualcomm’s top-billed Snapdragon processor at the helm, complete it with 12GB RAM, 512GB of storage, and it also runs with Oppo’s ColorOS 7.1, which is Oppo’s software skin over the top of Google’s Android 10 OS. In short words, this phone shouldn’t cause any problems in terms of performance.
For the battery capacity, the 4260-mAh battery of the Oppo smartphone lasts for almost 18 hours in full use; and so, in a day to day use, we could stretch this up to 25 hours before needing to recharge it. This phone also fully recharges in an insane time of 38 to 40 minutes at 65 watts, so, it won’t give you the two-days extended battery life that we expected but it’s not going to give you any worries for at least a day, and it will recharge in the blink of an eye.
The Oppo camera squeezes in a triple camera system that consists in an optically stabilized 48MP main camera + 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera + 5x periscope zoom and a 13MP camera with 10x hybrid zoom, that manages an almost perfect balance between detail and noise management in all light conditions, allowing us to take beautiful pictures at any time of the day; but while the overall performance is very good, it’s not quite as high as we expected. In fact, for the price of this phone, it should be a lot better.
Conclusion: An amazing phone but not the best of the best.
The design is insanely beautiful (especially the vegan leather model), the performance is decent, the display is good, and the 38 minutes full recharge time is a nice feature too; but overall, is lacking in essential areas like the camera and the battery life; therefore, the price is too high. For this budget you need to be perfect and the Find X2 Pro is not quite there.
