Design and Display

The Design of the Doogee BL5500 Lite is really conservative. With rounded edges, a set of cameras placed in the corner on the back and an all plastic housing in colors black, blue and gold. Not the most innovating design of the market but decent, anyway.

Bringing dimensions of 160.8*76.9*10.5mm to the table and a 6.19-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 720 x 1500 px HD+, besides a nice 2.5D curved glass screen but no water/scratch resistant either.

Performance and battery life

In terms of performance, the Doogee BL5500 Lite runs on Mediatek MT6739WA quad-core chipset clocked at 1.3GHz and a 2 GB RAM memory. Not appropriate if you need a gaming friendly device but adequate for normal use.

For the Battery, we got an amazing Li-Po 5500mAh Battery, making this the perfect phone if you’re looking for long lasting battery life. You could get until two days easily using the Doogee BL5500 Lite without needing to charge it. Maybe even more, depending on the use.

Camera

With a dual rear camera 13.0MP+8.0MP SONY IMX135 sensor incorporated, a 4160 x 3120 px resolution and a dual LED flash, we get an average primary camera. Not bad at all, but not great either. The frontal camera with 5 megapixels is also nice. We can get nice pictures in the day light, but not so good at night.

Conclusion: The Doogee BL5500 Lite it’s a low budget smartphone with a lot of good features.

You’ll get a decent phone for a really low budget. Long lasting battery life and a huge screen with good resolution but of course, it’s got its downsides. The quality of the camera is not bad, but not the best, and the design and performance aren’t the greatest either.

So, if you’re looking for a gaming device, this is not your option but for a day to day use phone, it’s pretty cool.
