Design and display

The design of the Cubot X19 comes in black, green and “twilight” color giving it an aesthetic look to the 155, 06 x 74, 67 x 9, 55 mm dimension body. It weighs 167grs and comes with a plastic frame and back. With rounded edges and the camera placement at one of the top corners we don’t get too much innovation here but it is compensated by bright colors and a slim look.

The 5.93-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen with 1080 x 2160 px resolution is multitouch capable and maintain its brightness even under the sunlight. Also with this resolution and with 407 pixels per inch, the displayed content is therefore sharp and neat.

Performance and battery life

Cubot X19 runs on the MT6763T (Helio P23) Octa-Core 2.5GHz 64-bit and with a 4GB RAM memory. The smartphone’s memory (4 GB) cannot be expanded, but the storage (64 GB) can be expanded with a microSD card. If we refer to performance, it’s adequate to consider it fast and adequate.

A non-removable Li-Po 4000 mAh gives the smartphone a good battery and an approximate of 7 hours of screen active use. With this battery life you can get until a day and a half of moderate use before you need to charge the phone. You can even stretch this time a little bit, depending on the use.

The Cubox X19 comes with a dual back camera of 16.0MP+2.0MP, auto – focus incorporated and double LED flash. Not being ideal for taking night pictures or videos and we consider it an average performer for daylight pictures. Besides the back cameras, it has a real nice frontal camera of 8MP that give us really detailed pictures but without front flash light, it’s not recommendable for night selfies.

Suitable for taking pictures to save your memories, capturing bright colors and with surprisingly sharp and good selfies, but not as good to be considered with an “almost professional capacity”.

Conclusion: the Cubox X19 is a good budget smartphone.

You won’t get the last of the last trend in smartphones, but with a decent battery life, a good frontal camera, a different design and a good performance this is a nice option for the day to day use and in a really good price!
